Abstract

Description Little is known about the steps that clinical areas or healthcare systems use to drive the implementation of quality improvement in their culture, infrastructure, and practice. This lecture will cover concepts of qualitative science that drive and sustain meaningful change in the improvement and implementation of clinical pathways. Through multi-disciplinary case examples, we will demonstrate qualitative science concepts via a standardized approach to create stronger stakeholder engagement, align the collective mental framework, and adapt implementation strategies for successful improvement.

Main objective

  • Identify concepts of qualitative research in improvement science.
